LAFCO MAP PAGE

LAFCO has contracted with the Geographic Information Management System (GIMS) group, part of the San Bernardino County Information Services Department, since 1989 for the automation of agency boundary and sphere of influence maps.  Among the agencies currently maintained within this system are cities, towns, independent districts providing water services (wholesale and retail delivery, conservation), fire protection services, regional water services (such as State Contractors for State Water Project), park and recreation districts, and some of the Board-governed county service areas and other districts.  LAFCO continues to work to expand the agencies available through this partnership and present them through this web application

The LAFCO Map Page has been developed to give you options for choosing to view the boundaries of the different jurisdictions within the County of San Bernardino.  You may choose to view a map by selecting one of the following pull down menus for types of agencies or services:

Cities/Towns
Districts
Services
Cities/Towns:

You may select from different types of jurisdictions (cities/towns, independent special districts, board-governed special districts) along with their spheres of influence through the pull down menu.  (NOTE:  For the definition of a sphere, please review the Commission's policy for Spheres of Influence within the Policy Manual available on our Publications Page.)

The pull down menu listing for services provides a comprehensive listing of the services available in San Bernardino County through specific entities, either City, Town, or Special District.  (NOTE:  For a complete listing of services authorized to each of the special districts within our County, please review the Commission's Policy and Procedure Manual, Section 5, Exhibit A -- Listing of Special District Functions and Services, on the Publications Page of our Website).  Please be advised that while a service is "authorized" to a specific agency, there may be other private and public agencies, not listed here, who might provide that service within a given area.  If you have a question on the service, please contact our office at lafco@lafco.sbcounty.gov or by phone at (909) 383-9900.

The map applications on this page are best viewed with a minimum 800x600 resolution or better monitor setting.  NOTE:  The data depicted in the agency boundary maps is intended to be used for general visual display only.  To be sure of complete accuracy, please check with LAFCO staff for the most up-to-date information regarding an agency's boundary or sphere of influence.
